REVIEW: KAYGE COSMETICS LIQUID TO MATTE LIPSTICK
Hi guys!
Kayge Cosmetics is not exactly new, but this is my first time trying out the brand. They launched a few years ago, and were majorly into lipsticks, lip glosses and lip pencils. So when I was contacted to try out their newly launched liquid lipsticks, in collaboration with one of Nigeria's finest makeup artists, Mamza Beauty, I was definitely eager! Let's get to it
PACKAGING
This babe came in such a beautiful pack with also a product note from Mamza, as pictured above. Really cute!
PIGMENTATION
The liquid lipsticks are decently pigmented, one swipe didn't give me full opacity.
FORMULA AND TEXTURE
This is liquidy in texture. not pasty or creamy.
It is also matte but not drying at all, I didn't get that squeezy feeling you get from some liquid lipsticks. Also very lightweight and comfortable
APPLICATION
Honestly, I wasn't crazy about the application. It didn't apply as smoothly as I expected, and layering was a headache. However it didn't dry up immediately, so I could manoeuver around it. Surprisingly, it dried really beautifully. I had expected it to be very patchy with the way it applied, but the result was decent enough
LONGETIVITY
I didn't experience transfer with this babe, and its lasting power is good. I got around 4 hours of wear before it started showing signs of fading.
SWATCHES
I REALLY REALLY love this shade. At first, I thought it looked similar to one of my fav reds, Coloured Raine in Cherry Blossom, but swatching it side by side showed it is brighter with an orangey undertone. Loves it!
What do you think guys? Let me know
You can see more shades on Kayge's Instagram HERE
I''ll be wearing this lipstick for this week's tutorial, be sure to check back!
thanks guys for stopping by!
Till later,
